Dynamics in the MP3s are probably not as they should be sung! Translation (feel free to suggest a more elegant one, if you know of one): (1) Zion, praise the Savior; praise the leader and shepherd in hymns and canticles. Dare to do as much as you can, for you can never do enough to praise Him who is greater than all praise. (2) A special theme of praise is proposed today: the living and life-giving Bread, given to the group of His twelve brothers at the table of the sacred supper, not to be doubted. (3) Let the praise be full and loud; let the mind's jubilation be blissful and beautiful, for this solemn day is celebrated, recalling the first institution of this table. (4) In this table of the new King, the new Passover of the new law ends the ancient rite. The Truth flees from the shadow, the new from the old; the light destroys the night. (5) What Christ did at the supper, He proclaimed, must be done in His memory. Taught by the holy things He instituted for our salvation, we consecrate the host from bread and wine. (6) This teaching is given to Christians: that the bread turns into flesh, and the wine into blood. What you do not grasp or see, let bold faith make firm, beyond the order of things. (7) Under different appearances--only signs, not things--extraordinary things are hidden. Flesh is food, blood is drink: yet the whole Christ remains under either species. (8) By one who receives Him, He is received entire, not broken, severed, or divided. One or a thousand may receive Him, this one as much as that one; He is received, but not consumed. (9) The good and the evil both receive Him, but with unequal results: life or death. Death is for the evil, life for the good: both receive Him equally, but see how different is the outcome! (10) Do not waver, but remember: when this Sacrament indeed is broken, as much remains in the fragment as is contained in the whole. There is no division in the thing, but only the sign is broken: the thing signified is not diminished in either state or stature. (11) BEHOLD THE BREAD OF ANGELS, made the food of wayfarers: truly the children's bread, not to be given to dogs. This was signified beforehand in figures, when Isaac was offered, when the Paschal lamb was destined for sacrifice, when manna was given to the fathers. (12) Good shepherd, true bread, Jesus, have mercy on us: feed us, keep us safe, make us see good things in the land of the living. Thou, who knowest and hast power over all, who feedest us mortals here: let us share Thy table there; make us co-heirs and companions in the city of the saints.
